busy busy busy

i've got a lot on the schedule tomorrow, so you probably won't be seeing much of me, but i just wanted to give you a preview of what will be appearing in the shop on saturday. :)

more fun with color!

My cousin came over yesterday. She worked hard at cutting out some cute new patterns while I did some sewing. Then we decided it was time to play with color. Watch for some new colorful WOOL covers soon to be in my shop.

did a whole lot of nuthin' this weekend. where'd the time go? i wanted to have a ton of stuff to list, but everthing is almost-but-not-quite-there.

yesterday

I'm sorry I neglected you yesterday. I had to go grocery shopping. That kind of thing takes ALL. DAY. Baby "O" and I hitched a ride with Mrs. E... and Baby A (he's a month and soooooo cute!) Anyway, hubby stayed home with the 7 other muchkins. It's a good thing I wasn't planning on sewing yesterday. Apparently, there was a war going on. I might have gotten hurt.

Luckily, I'm queen around here. I had them clear the battle field, and proceeded to cut up fire engines...

and circles and swirlies...

Now all I have to do is decide what kind of fluffiness to put on the other side.

i got some really cute cuts!

I'm really excited about this one - but, unfortunatly, I only have a yard. I got two diaper cuts and two newborn cover cuts. That's it!

and the best part is that my mommy pre-washed them for me already!!!! they're ready to cut out!

I used the last three of these...

Some shelves that we found totally on clearance a few years ago. They were so cheap we bought the rest of them. Eleven. They are now scattered throughout the entire house.

We set aside the fancy schmancy slide mirror...

And assembled the shelves...

Those of you who know me will be shocked to see that I actually let somebody help me. It was hard to do, but I even let the four year old put some screws in!

The final product...

To the right we have less needed supplies and large pieces of material. In the very back corner is a stack of old jeans I'm going to use to cover my couch :)

The surface is clear - makes for much easier pinning... In front of me I have my diaper cuts and a few finished diapers. Soon I'll have a light ABOVE me. Then I'll be able to get rid of that dim lamp hiding behind the machine.

It may look like it needs a bit of paint back there, but I'll never paint it. Ever. That black smudge is spray paint from when my brother, David, used to make models. His signature is back there too... He was killed almost 10 years ago in a freak accident. I miss him dearly, so my sewing room is very special to me. :)

And to the left I have my other more frequently used supplies and my garbage.

and the car pictures that will never come down either. :)

Well, there it is... now let's get back to SEWING! :)

I just recently moved this shelf into my sewing room, but hadn't had a chance to orgnaize it yet.

to neglect you today. I've been behind this ugly curtain all day.

Organizing. Some day I hope to have some nice closet doors, but, for now, it's just an old ugly brown shower curtain that keeps the kids out of my sewing room.
I hope to have some nice before and after pictures to show you... tomorrow.

This diaper reminds of me the night sky...

Anyone for a stroll on a moonlit night? The sky is light blue with dark blue and purple marbling!

The inside is so soft and pink... looks like bubble gum!


It makes you want to chew it up and blow bubbles!
