all that beautiful snow...

plus a nice amount of freezing rain equals lots of falling trees and no power. the whole county (and beyond) has had outages over the last few days. some are still without power. we had 24 hours without power. we are thankful for our wood stove. we are also thankful that the flu that we had last week ended BEFORE the power went out. :)

    We had a bit of ice here this weekend, but nothing too serious. I should probably invest in some candles, though. I use a candle warmer and pull the wicks out of all of them!

    Yes! We've had two emergencies this year (well, one last summer and one this winter). I wish I was more prepared for both of them!
